The Office of Legal Affairs (OLA) supports the academic and research mission of the Georgia Institute of Technology through development of solutions designed to minimize Georgia Tech's legal exposure, while advancing the goals and programs of Georgia Tech within the bounds of the law.
In its support of Georgia Tech's mission, OLA provides recommendations and legal advice in a variety of areas related to the goals and programs of Georgia Tech. While OLA is not involved in specific processes and procedures, in an effort to assist you we have listed several points of contact for you on this site. As a starting point, please look at the "Topics" section of this website. Many of the issues and agreements that OLA is asked about are listed there. A link to our Standard Form Agreements is also located within our "Topics" section. If you have an area of interest or concern that is not listed or if you need further information, please contact us.
The Office of Legal Affairs established a specific e-mail address for receipt of all new matters. The address is: Asklegal@gatech.edu. The new procedure was established to allow new matters to be assigned more efficiently. Please send all requests for assistance to this address. If you do not have email access, you may fax your request to (404) 894-3120. Use of this central email address will help the Office better serve you by expediting the assignment process and by enhancing our internal tracking and accountability. Once a new matter is assigned, you will be provided notice of the assignment and the name of the attorney handling the matter.
If you have any comments or suggestions on how this page can be improved, we welcome your input. Please direct any such suggestions to asklegal@gatech.edu.
